So to help curb our appetite of curiosity here is the first edition of the new weekly linky, We Want to Know Wednesday Q&A **WWTK**, hosted by Impulsive Addict, Janette, Mamarazzi and yours truly.
1. Do you make friends easily? Honestly, I'm not sure. I find it rather easy to enjoy the company of others, I laugh and cut up with them and I always have a great time when I meet new people but rarely do I meet someone and just know that we are going to be great friends. I have lots of friends that would actually qualify more as acquaintances than friends.
2. What 3 qualities are a must in a friend? 1.} Knowing when to listen and when to offer advice. Unsolicited "help" is not something I necessarily want, I just want someone to listen to me when I need to vent. 2.} They have to love {or at least be able to fake it} my husband and kids. Sadly, sometimes your husband and kids can be deal breakers in a friendship. It's always a bonus when you find someone whose husband becomes your husbands friend. 3.} A sense of humor or the ability to accept mine. If we can't laugh at everything and anything that will make for a very long GNO!
3. What makes you a good friend? Well I hope several things. I try to keep it real, if those pants make your ass look big I'm not gonna lie to you. I'm funny and can take being laughed at {Lord knows I've done enough stupid stuff to deserve it}. I'm giving, if I have it and you want it or need it I'll share. Except my ice cream and my husband, those two things are off limits!
4. Have you ever met a bloggy friend in real life? Yes? Tell us about your meet up. No? Who would you love to meet? Yes! I have met Becca from the Texas Darlings
We chatted over a Patron margaritas!
and Shawn from Swaneesinger.
She is gorgeous, so freaking tiny and sadly doesn't blog anymore!
You can read the story of my adventure with Becca here {this is actually Becca's post because I cannot find mine. Oh, I hope I didn't delete it on accident!} and with Shawn here. And I am super excited to hang out again with Becca and meet Vivienne, Impulsive Addict, JennyKate and Jen in May. 29 days Ladies. 29 days!
5. Who is your best friend? Tell us about them. I have more than one best friend. It's funny when I was my daughters age I was just like her. I thought the friends I had in high school were going to be my life long friends. We were going to get married together, have kids together, vacation together, we were always going to be apart of each-others lives. Funny how that changes when you actually do get married, have children and move across the country! You know what they say, you have friends for a season and friends for a reason!
Danielle- Is my daily, more like multiple times a day, dose of friendship and reality. I really don't think there is anything she doesn't know about me and we're still friends! Our husbands are friends and our children refer to us as Aunt and Uncle. We vacation together, cry together, support each other, laugh together and have lunch together almost every Thursday! We met when Honey was in her 1st grade class, if she can teach my child and still want to be my friend than she's definitely a keeper. I'm just sayin'!
Rebecca- I'm sure you've heard me reference the "triangle" well Rebecca is the third point of that triangle. Danielle, Rebecca and Shawn, together we are the triangle, it's actually more like the Bermuda Triangle, others have tried to get in but have only gotten lost. Like Danielle she knows it all and has continued to stick around. Our husbands are friends, I am Aunt Shawn to her children and I know without a shadow of a doubt she would be by my side in my time of need! Out of the three of us, she is the nice one, and has to keep us in line more often than not. I met Rebecca when I walked Honey into her first day of Kindergarten, she was her teacher. I knew instantly that we would be friends!
Natalie- Is one of those friends that I met and just knew we were destined to be friends. I truly believe God made our paths cross. Isn't it funny how He just knows what you need and when you need it! She has moved away but our bond has not left!
Pam- This chick is always put together, even at 3 in the morning when she comes to pick up her child who had just gotten sick all over Peanuts bedroom from eating too much junk at a sleepover. Talk about intimidating! My first impression of Pam was "damn, does she ever not look like Barbie?" I never saw us as friends but am so glad I was wrong, I have no idea what I would do without her. Her husband makes up one point of my husbands triangle, yes, he has one too, and I love her daughters. It's a win, win friendship!
Alisa- I thought Pam was the only one always put together but was proven wrong the day I met Alisa. She could wear a burlap sack and make it look good! She is reserved unless a cup of ice is nearby {total inside joke that I cannot share, sorry}, level headed, soft spoken, calm, professional and always knows the perfect question to ask. She, like the others, would do whatever I needed to be done without a second thought. Her husband is point number three of the mens triangle and couldn't be any more opposite of her!
When all of my friends and families are together we are an estrogen bomb waiting to explode. Together we have 11 girls and 1 boy. They are 16, 13, 13, 12, 11, 10, 8, 8, 8, 6, 6 {the only boy} and 3.
I am blessed beyond measure to have these incredibale ladies a part of my life! These are my girlfriends, the ones I can always count on, the ones I love so very much!
I cannot make a list of my best friends without including Babe, he has been my true best friends and the love of my life for almost 25 years ! My Mom and my Sister are also my friends, they are always exactly where I need them to be and always know exactly the right thing to say. I cannot wait for the day to come when I get to see my girls become friends!
Well, there you have it, I hope you stuck around, it was a long one! Now copy these questions, grab our adorable button and go write your post then come on back and enter your WWTK post in the linky below!

i hope i get to join in on the next get together!!
my first bloggy meet up friend doesn't blog anymore either.
i wonder if it was something i said. lol
oh well we are still IRL friends so, i am not too worried!!
i love the idea of friends for a reason and friends for a season, so true!!
OH and
you are really pretty. i mean i think i knew that, but in all of these pictures you are just stunning.
i am jealous.
the end.
oh no your linky list didn't work, i will email you the code again just in case and it will have all of the links so far, on it too.
I read it! The whole thing!!!
My favorite part so far has been looking at the pictures!! You have a lot of besties! I will soon be one of them after Austin!
All of my besties and our husbands are friends. That helps so much. I'm not sure what I would do if they weren't! (And I slept with one of them...waaaay before meeting M of course and he's actually the one that introduced me to M!) I lead a twisted life, no?
Do you still talk to Shawn even though she no longer blogs?
Awww.I am so honored to be a bestie AND seriously blessed to have you as one of MY very own besties! I love you and...oh, you're about to see the Redneck Barbie come out in me next week...just sayin'!
Awesome post! Life would be so dull without friends.
I'm Linked up!
I'm hoping that once my kids are in school that I'll make a couple friends here. So many of my Denver friends live a good 30 miles away from me.
Your friends are HOT MAMA'S!
A sense of humor is a major thing for me in a friendship. I love to laugh and laugh at my friends LOL
You are so blessed to have such wonderful friends.
Awesome!
Roon doesn't have any friends of his own, so the husbands of all my friends become his by default. Luckily, he's so laid back he can get along with anyone...
LOVE how your friends are close enough to you, that your kids call them aunt and uncle. That's something to treasure, for sure!
Mamarazi is right- you are beautiful!! I love friendships that are 'real' with no fluff. I had to break up with a friend recently b/c she took offense to my honesty which was said more as a joke and she couldn't accept it.. so, take it or leave it.. don't ask for an opinion if you don't want the truth!! I'm with ya! Great pics!!! :) excited to be doing this with ya and look forward to getting to know you more!
you are truley bless to have so many great friends!!
Thant is a whole lotta girls at one time, the poor men are very out numbered!!
Thanks for sharing
Look how many fabulous friends you have - you obviously do make friends easily! I feel kind of sorry for that one little man in your circle of friends, haha
You always have super cute shirts on, I'm jealous!
Stoppin' by to say Hello.
Hello.
Can I have a bite of your ice cream? no. oh well.
I have a friend who waits until the kids go to bed to have ice cream so she doesn't have to share. Ice cream is important.
I can understand the friends husbands thing..luckily my besties and I have known each other from when we were single and hung around each other and their future husbands so we all know them and are comfortable around them..that really makes a big difference though...no creepy husbands...I will de-friend you!
Great post and love all the pitures::)
Yep most of my friends were guys too... I guess that's why I threat to kick that boy's butt for insulting my friend! I weighed 75lbs and was 4'11 1/2" and still am! Well not the 75lbs but the same height!
Thanks for stoppin' in and you're always welcome to come by anytime.
wow you have lots of great friends. you are a lucky girl.
I love hearing about everyone's friends!
I'd like to link up, but I can't find the linky!? I'm having an off day! lol
Someone help...?
Ahh, you are such a sweetie! Your BFF's are gonna love ya for this! But, I'm sure, they already do!
You are truly blessed to have so many great BFF's! Lucky gal you!
I think we're going to get along fine IRL. (juuuuust fiiiine! Pass the Patron!)
I love the descriptions of your friends. :)
I love it...the whole thing.
Your besties are hotties! I'm sure you girls never have to pay for drinks when you're out!
29 days?!?! Seriously. I. CAN'T. WAIT.
I love stalking your blog and I loved "meeting" all of your besties. It's nice to know that someone else has one (or more) of those always put together always stylish bff's...I swear, if I didnt love mine so much (+ know her so well) I would be way more intimidated. Thanks for letting me link in...I'm loving it!
Love the pictures. I really like seeing everyone's pictures. Guess that relates back to the part about being nosy? lol
I'm slightly different, I can pretty much tell initially when I meet someone if we'd be or will become great friends! I really trust my instincts!
LOVED reading your post, and your stories about your besties!
It's funny, I didn't have much use for girlfriends growing up. I preferred guys to girls, because girls were to girlie and drama. Besides Kimberly, I kept most girlfriends at arms length.
I'm so glad I have learned how truly wonderful good girlfriends can be, and what a blessing they are to our lives!
You have LOTS of friends!!!
And, yeah, it's important for friends to like your entire family. When Jess and I started hanging out we discovered our kids love to play with eachother and our hubs' even talk! :) We have dinners sometimes...okay, like twice, but it was GOOD TIMES!
Love this tribute to your friends. You are so blessed to have such good friends in your life.
SO sorry!! Late to the party--- but I'm finally here!!
~Becca
Heheh, estrogen bomb waiting to explode. Love it! I'm worried for you guys. Looks like that bomb is gonna explode in just a few short years!
I'm motivated that you met some of your closest friends after you had kids. I have some great friends but I have yet to meet that couple that will be my kids' "Uncle and Auntie" and that I can talk to every day. I want that!
Okay..why are you so adorable? Do you take a bad photo? Ever? Good lordy!
I love this meme already...Happy Hump Day!
This has been so fun to do and read along...I wish I could have done what you did and write a post about my great friends...but it is late and I am getting ready to have a TON of fun these next few days...so I have to be an adult and do thing like LAUNDRY :(
Thanks again for hosting...I bet money that you are a blast live in color :)
I have had the good fortune to meet 4 bloggy friends in real life, and since they live close, I actually get to see them from time to time, when life actually allows. I hope to meet another bloggy friend this summer.
You are so blessed to have that many good friends in your life!
Awww come on, you won't share your ice cream? Not even just a little spoonful just to try it?
Holy smokes girl, all of you girls (that are hosting this meme) are gorgeous! I think I hate (in a totally nice way) y'all already lol!
I love to laugh at myself, I'm totally blond, so I give myself plenty of reasons too!
I'm your newest follower! Love this meme!
I love your blog name. I use the word seriously all the time. When someone does something stupid I look at them and say SERIOUSLY!
my ice cream & my husband, those two things are off limits... bawwhaaahaa! Just so ya know, mine is too! LOL.
Love the tribute to your girlfriends, but seriously why do you all have to be so gorgeous!!! Jealous, yes I am jealous! :)
I think I have more acquaintances than true friends as well.
Love how you said you don't share your ice cream or husband HAHA! Ditto!
Y'all have a big group when y'all get together. Poor guy all alone in that girl world Haha! On one side of my family there is 5 girls and 1 boy (cousins). He was the youngest and I'm sure we made his life he'll. We dressed him up, did his hair!
Look at all those friends! Jealous!!
Love that you wrote little bits about all of your best friends!
You and your friends are all beautiful by the way!
I totally agree that the friend has to accept the husband and kids. My family is a crucial part of who I am! Thanks for this awesome post and for your comments on my blog!
